I was wrong! by Harald

there _is_ forwards and backwards on this helicopter (as well as up and down, and "around"... however the infinitesimal rear propeller is so puny compared to the massive main-rotors that it's action is practically useless. seeing as i have to i will strip one down and put on a bigger propeller at the back. if that works i'll do it to the new one too! ;-)

The four channel is also awesome as i have one :)

Up and down, yes, sideways or for/backwards, no! by Harald

Bought my second of these yesterday, as the one I bought a few months ago (and only managed to fly once) had a battery-malfunction... Not so impressed...

Realised I need to get the higher-priced one, as this one does _not_ - contrary to what it says here - give you the option of going left or right (if it does, it's not noticeable in even the slightest breeze). There are actually two propellers at the back, but only one (up/down) is connected to the engine.

Still, it looks cool, and it's very sturdy (had it crashing into the carpark outside work really rather hard earlier, much to the glee of my colleague - but it still works fine ;-) )

Think I will take the advice from one of the guys commenting here, and fly it inside. The reception should be big enough ;-)

Comment by Paul

Bought this helicopter today, managed to already lose it once.

Couldnt wait to give it a go, so went out in the garden and tried to get the hang of it. Everything went ok for the 15-20 minutes that the battery lasted. Come next charge and I got a bit over-ambitious, flying it just higher than my house.
Tried bringing it back down, to no success. It ended up flying about 5 houses down, across a road, then over the house on the other side, landing in their back garden. Ended up searching for about 30 minutes, and was very lucky to find it, still in working condition! A few broken joints, but nothing glue wont fix.
I'm very impressed that it went so far, and survived about a 30 meter drop (onto either a conservatory, or a bush).

Going to give it another go tomorrow, I would highly recommend this product, but for first time user's, make sure you use it in a wide open space, on a none windy day!

 How many directions? by Thomas

How many directions can this move in?

Can it actually go forwards and backwards? i.e does it have rotor pitch adjustment?

Thanks
